Gri kouti

The "Gri kouti" Puppet Theater was created by Antigoni Parousi and her partners informally in 1990, giving performances in schools and municipalities, but took the legal form of an urban non-profit company in 1997. The main purpose of the company is to search and the experimentation with new forms of puppetry art. The modern puppet theater with its variety and abundance of forms is gradually erasing the distinction between the puppet theater and the actors' theater. In April 1993, the "Gri kouti" Puppet Theatre took part in the International Puppet Festival in Crete, with the show "Theseus" and with "Mikres Istories" in July 1994 and 1995 at the International Puppet Festival in Hydra. From 1998 to 2004 he gave performances at the theater "Figures and Dolls" of the Study and Study Center in Plaka every Saturday, in parallel with appearances in Municipal schools and International FestivalsIn recent years his work has been oriented towards teacher training mainly with performances resulting from the workshops which are mainly presented at events of the University of Athens.
