A boy grows up next to an apple tree. He takes whatever is offered to him in a carefree way: the leaves, the fruit, the dew, the branches, without ever noticing the true love hidden behind these offerings, without ever thinking of repaying them. It will take many years for him to realize, and the boy will be an old man and the apple tree a dried stump before he learns the big secret: life is a cycle with no beginning and no ending and its moving force is love.
