Once upon a time there was an insignificant bug...

Christmas Eve, a little girl with a cold is sad because she cannot participate in the joy of the feast. She tries to find some pleasure in the pages of her books.

A bug is sad because it has no color and no one pays attention to it. It would want so much just a little bit of glamour!

A ray of light is sad because she is trapped in her glow and cannot travel free in the world. She always has to follow her sisters’ beam.

The ray meets the bug and they decide to combine their fates giving one another what they most desire. So the bug will become shiny and the ray will be free to roam. And they will be together forever. The little girl watches the bug and the ray as they travel and experiences firsthand the deep emotions of Christmas Eve.

Seasonal show for children.

With simple narration and material, the Christmas story is presented in a tableau vivant, while a little bug is forever connected to a ray from the Christmas Star.

The show is a combination of actors and figures of contemporary shadow theatre, addressed to preschool and early-school-age children.
