ANTIGONI PAROUSSI, is a Professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education, University of Athens. Her subject is Pedagogy of Theatrical Expression. She has a degree in pedagogical studies, from the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki. Postgraduate studies in education of disabled children. Further postgraduate studies in directing of Puppet Theater and Ph.D. in Puppet Theater at the Theatrical Academy of Sofia. She has been involved in puppetry since 1976; she has worked for 15 years at the Athens Puppet Theater “Barba Mitoussis” and she participates in puppet international festivals with various performances. She has organized the International Puppet Theater Festival of Hydra for the past ten years and directs the Puppet Theater Company “Gri Kouti”. She was honored with the “Michael Meschke” world price, for the development and the renovation of the marionette’s art (12/07/2006).
